If
you have found your way to this website, then that indicates that you
are in search of a life filled with Whole Truth & Happiness. To
many individuals, health is simply a word with no true meaning behind
it. Somewhere along the way, we seemed to have lost sight of what
health truly is or where to find it for that matter. But the good news
is, health is really not all that far away or all that complicated.
It
is my belief that achieving any goal in life begins with the will to be
well. It begins with you wanting to make positive changes in your life
or take control of which ever ailment is casting shadows above your
head.
Cancer,
diabetes, depression etc. these conditions have become that of epidemic
proportions. When you stop to think about the world we live in, is
there truly any wonder why we have found ourselves in such a state of
poor health? Our world is a very toxic environment; the air is highly
polluted, making it unfit to breathe, our water supply is unfit to
drink, and the food that we consume provides absolutely no nourishment
for our bodies.
The Standard American Diet
is a major contributor to our deteriorating health conditions. The
average person consumes a diet made up of high fat, sugar, white flour,
junk food, processed foods, canned and processed meats, drugs and
alcohol. None of these foods or substances that I have listed provide
any sort of nutrients that the body needs to function properly. When
the body is in a constant state of malnourishment illness is to be
expected.
My main focus is to let you know
that achieving and maintaining health, or anything in life does not
have to be considered an unreachable goal. In the words of my mother,
"Where there's a will, there's a way!" I could not agree with her more.
Health and wellness is available to any individual willing to go
against the grain, or take the road less traveled. In the beginning,
change is always scary and sometimes difficult, but with commitment and
dedication any and all of your goals can be reached, until the day you
stop trying to reach them. |

| Healthy Nutrition: All health begins with sound nutrition; food provides vitamins, minerals, enzymes and other nutrients that the body needs to function. All of these elements are vital to our immunity, our immune system is our best defense against any disease or illness. When this begins to deteriorate, we begin to do the same. Consuming foods that are known to promote your health and well-being, should substitute the foods that are known to provide the very opposite.

| Healthy digestion: Many individuals never think twice about their digestive system because they are not aware of the role it plays in the body. The digestive system actually dictates overall health. When the digestive system is not functioning as it should be, food is not broken down properly; causing the nutrients you consume to be unavailable to the body. In many cases a person may become malnourished despite a healthy diet. Poorly digested food becomes toxic to the body, when it sits too long. This adds extra stress on the liver and the immune system, eventually leading to illness. Self poisoning may also occur, this is caused by microorganisms, metabolic waste, and other poisons produced within the body. In order to have a healthy immune system, you must have a healthy digestive system.
| | | | | Clean filtered water: The human body is actually made up of two thirds water, and is essential for all forms of life to survive. Every cell in the body requires water, along with oxygen and nutrients. Water is needed to flush out waste from the body and regulates all body functions. Water also transports nutrients, regulates body temperature, and maintains alkaline/acid balance. It keeps the skin moist, increases energy levels, and alleviates some headaches. Be sure to drink 8 8oz glasses daily.
| | | | | Physical Activity: A sedentary life style is the life of many. Most of us find ourselves in front of the computer, or sitting on the sofa watching the latest reality show. We fail to realize that the human body was created for activity. Not to mention that physical activity reduces the risk of many conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, cancer, depression, just to name a few. If your initial goal is health, you cannot have one without the other.
| | | | | Good sleeping patterns: Proper sleep is vital to your over all health, this is the time when the body rebuilds and replenishes itself. Throughout the day our bodies become run down and burdened with stress. Lack of sleep has been linked to many health concerns that effect individuals both physically and mentally. Try to ensure that you get 5-7 hours of sleep each night. Create a sleep friendly environment for yourself; quite, cozy, dark and appropriate temperature.

| | Positive mental attitude: It is very important to have a positive outlook on life and all things surrounding you. If you surround yourself with negativity it can and will effect your health. Our thoughts give way to life, if you constantly harbor negative thoughts, your actions will become negative in nature. Stress can be a product of negative thinking, and stress is the number one cause of many health problems; not to mention stress weakens the immune system. Most will find it difficult to think positive, but it is wise to focus on things that you can control and not so much the things that you can't control. People who think positive are less likely to become sick, positive thinkers enjoy each day as it is presented to them. Do not be afraid to live in the moment, see the good in people, live one day at a time and don't stress about the future. One of my favorite sayings is, "Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift, that's why it is called the present."

| My goal as a Certified Holistic Nutritionist and Licensed Massage Therapist is to assist you in removing environmental "roadblocks" that may be hindering your body from doing what it was created to do. The human body is an amazing creation, which has the profound ability to heal and restore itself; if and when it is given the chance to do so. One of the most important things to remember is that healing comes from within the body; there is no outside source that is directly responsible for this process. To remove any substances or manifestations that may be burdening the body, and keeping it from its natural process, is the number one step in re-establishing any level of health. Unfortunately, many encounters throughout our daily routines, provide these roadblocks unknowingly. With the use of natural methods regarding diet and nutrition, Lifestyle modifications, herbal cleansing and detoxification, vitamins/minerals and massage therapy techniques, I will assist you through your journey from internally broken to whole and complete. All you will need is the will to be well, a positive mental attitude, and a deep love of self. Your success is my success, so I hope you will allow me to be a part of your health and wellness goals and guide your way to a life of Whole Truth & Happiness!
